war hero (from Unbroken) passes away

Louis Zamperini, whose amazing story was detailed in Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken, has passed away at the age of 97.

What a life!

It made me incredibly sad to see that on the news. I had hoped he'd be able to go to the premiere with Angelina. What a remarkable man!

Loved his story in unbroken, will definitely see movie. Got each of my son's the book. They all went through he-- in the story, but he made it through to live a long life, Rip.

I'm sorry to hear he passed away. I don't think they can make a movie as good as the book.
