I'm sad to say things did not go well today.
The vet did xrays and bloodwork to see if her kindeys and liver can handle anaesthesia.
They found a mass in her abdomen the size of a softball. They can't tell if it's attached to her spleen or liver,so we must go for an ultrasound Thursday evening.
It is almost certainly not benign, but the vet doesn't know if it's a metastasies of the cancer they found in her mouth,or a separate cancer of it's own.
They did give her meds to help stop the vomiting she was experiencing from the antibiotic.
Poor thing hasn;t been able to keep anything down for days, and (sorry for the faint hearted)....she had diahhrea (sp?) so bad just before we left for the vet appt,I had to get out my hairclipper I use on DS's hair and trim her up "back there".....
It's a good thing I've had 2 kids and that kinda stuff doesn't skeeve me out!
We must wait for the bloodwork to see where to go from here.......
God grant me the knowledge and strength to know when to say...enough.
panda... off to buy a new clipper.
