Re: update on my highly sensitive co-worker

If the issue is as you described here below:

"should have titled this thread: Only read this post if you read the PRECIOUS post by me regarding a Highly Sensitive Co-Worker. She, herself, has titled herself this way. She doesn't like to be looked at and she doesn't want to share the office. She doesn't want me to answer questions people might previously have asked her...she doesn't want me to touch the mail. She feels threatened and insecure. I've explained that I am probably the least person to be threatened by in the whole bldg. I am 61 years old. I do my job and I have no interest in doing someone else's or trying to prove my worth. I think a lot of thought went into placing "someone" in the office with her and they thought I would be the easiest one for her to get along with."

ME:

Then I am confused about what part of the underlined would have you shaking and calling the Union?? While her attitude above certainly doesn't make you feel warm and fuzzy..I am at a loss to it actually having you shaking and calling the Union?

Re: update on my highly sensitive co-worker

I used to have a coworker who would tell everyone her voices were telling her she should bring her gun to work to protect herself from us. When put in that perspective, this OP isn't facing anything. Our boss was constantly trying to get rid of her but she had family in high places and in the end it was our boss they fired. The rest of us, fearing for our lives, all quit at once, on the same day, and followed our boss to her new job.

Re: update on my highly sensitive co-worker

Wow, after reading all the varied opinions in this thread I am like SO SO SO glad I am now retired. I worked out of my home and BY MYSELF for the last ten years of my working life and am I ever glad I did.

Reading this thread makes me feel OLD and OUTDATED and I am not even actually retirement age yet.

BIG SIGH.
