Re: *** How do you like your peaches***

Cobbler...and yes, in a good ole Fuzzy Navel made with DeKuyper peach schnapps!

I remember the day my dh came home from an office Christmas party and said "you have to taste this!!!" It was a fuzzy navel.

So, I'm curious - the people who mention the fuzzy aspect of peaches, do you eat the fuzzy skin?

I was just never able to get past that. Even if I scrub it, the fuzziness is a no go for me.

I wash mine really well & yes both my husband & I eat the skin.. that's the pits huh? Get it? LOL

Okay so here goes....

Peach milkshakes

Diced peaches in our fruit salad

Grilled peaches and pineapple (my favorite, Yum!)

Peach cobbler (of course)

Peach icecream

Peach muffins (yum again)

Peaches and chops (extremely tasty)

Peach and pecan pie (got this recipe from an Amish bakery)

As you can tell, we eat a lot of fruit everyday.....

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} When can we all come over for dessert??? {#emotions_dlg.laugh} And could you post that Peach and Pecan pie recipe? That's making my mouth water!

I'm one who has always loved (even when I was a toddler) canned peaches, canned apricots. On top of vanilla ice cream; milkshakes/smoothies.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Ha! Good one. For me, the fuzzy skin is like one thing that is, for me, like fingernails on a blackboard - cloth in the mouth. I have an aversion to cloth in my mouth. I think it came from so many hospital stays, as a child, when they used to give you lemon-flavored cloth things to put in your mouth. ptooie!

Strawberries are sooooo good! California Driscolls are my favorites. I like to macerate and then spoon some over a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
