Here they are once again pushing the "rangemate microwave grill pan". I was considering it and checked out the reviews and people who've had it for a while are coming back to say the top warps/melts/bubbles and some of the coating is coming off. And yet, there they are, pushing the heck out of it to sell, sell, sell. It's just disappointing. But that's how business works. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

I also read the reviews and decided NOT to buy it. How can they continue to sell with so many bad reviews?

That's so great. How long have you had it? How often do you use it? I was really thinking of getting it myself.

I know. Or at least address the negative reviews and advise on how to use it properly -- if the users did something they weren't supposed to and that's why the lid melted or coating peeled off.

I did notice Marybeth made sure to tell people not to soak it in water or put it in the dishwasher because of the holes underneath. That was helpful advice.

I've had it for a couple of months Deb. I probably use it once or twice a week. If I were you I would go ahead and get it and, if you don't like it, you can return it.

It doesn't work as well as actual grilling but it's quick and easy to clean up.

P.S. My biggest complaint is the lack of recipes and cooking times for different things. Not much in their cookbook or on the web.

Thanks for your replies.

People putting items in for too long could be part of the problem of the top melting -- since they didn't give enough recipes/cooking times.

They must have a boat load of them otherwise they would go right to lunchtime specials.

I bought one when it was the TSV a month or 2 ago. I use it at least 3 times a week for cooking and reheating. I love it and haven't had any issues with it. I went and looked at the rating for the one shown today. 346 five star reviews, 42 one star, 29 two star, overall rating 4.5 stars. That's hardly a bad product, at least not in my opinion.
