I had to look into that one.  Here is a little information:

Food produces about 8 tons of emissions per household, or about 17% of the total. Worldwide, new reports suggest that agriculture produces around a half of all man-made emissions. Changing the foods that you eat can have a big impact on your carbon footprint.

When I used to eat liver sausage on rye the 'aftereffects' definitely contributed to air pollution.

I've always disagree with those who expouse global warming as I firmly believe everything in nature is cyclical.  And, also gotta "luv" how so many global evangelists fly around in their private jets, et al.

But now, that they've attacked a sandwich - just too much.

Yes!  I used to laugh at this "joke", but these days it makes me angry.

I don't know if it's too much or not.  Everyone in the world eats, and  it might be they can pack the sandwiches  in more environmentally friendly material

When I was small everyone used wax paper, and that might be  better than plastics

I never thought about it before, but food does produce a carbon footprint, some food more than others.

It would be a good thing if science classes were mandatory.
