Due to potential law suits I doubt any retailer would knowingly sell chicken beyond the expiration date @bridal_diva.

I don't eat fried chicken, so I've NEVER bought it from a supermarket. The only chicken I buy is from Costco. It's ALWAYS good.

So they sell out of date chicken? I never buy fried chicken in a deli. I have no idea what it has been fried in, how old it is, etc. I am picky that way...I was going to buy some ham at the deli and asked for a pound of it...when the lady pulled it out of the deli case I saw on part of the wrapper a sell-by date that was a month earlier! I told her the game had expired according to the date ...and she said she put whatever date I wanted on it...and kept slicing it. No Thanks!
