soap fans - re: jeanne cooper

Cooper’s son Corbin Bernsen shared with fans via his Facebook page on May 22 that his mother’s official cause of death was “primarily advanced COPD.” Bernsen also shared with fans that his mother’s body has been cremated and that a very private memorial will be held in the near future for family and close friends.
A larger service to honor Jeanne Cooper is planned for in about one month and Corbin is currently trying to organize a live streaming memorial so that fans may be a part of it. Bernsen asked vans to bear with him while he tries to figure out the details of how to accomplish a live streaming memorial service for Cooper.

Corbin Bernsen revealed that his mother’s last few weeks of her live were not pretty. He commented that he did not want to enter into a long dialogue into COPD, only to say that it was what killed her. He asked fans that if they smoke to please quit and if they do not smoke not to start.
The Facebook post contains such an outpouring of personal information from Corbin Bernsen regarding Jeanne Cooper’s death and the post is something that all “Young and the Restless” and “Psych” fans should read. In part, Bernsen said:

“Wilma Jeanne Cooper died on May 8, 2013 at 9:50 AM. The official cause of death was primarily advanced COPD. Her body has been cremated, and we will be scattering her ashes privately in places we feel a personal connection to. The locations shall remain private. My brother, sister and I will each retain a small parcel of the ashes to remember her.”

Corbin Bernsen will carry on his mother’s book tour for Jeanne Cooper’s recently released “Not Young, Still Restless.” Bernsen believes that continuing his mother's book tour will be an opportunity to connect face-to-face with fans.
