Ok I was able to add my signature line but it doesn't stand out from the rest of my post. I want it to be different so those not interested in reading it or have seen it before will know I'm at the end of the post and the siggy is not part of it. Like it used to be. I saw somebody had a star at each end of their post. How do you do that?

Am I making sense?

I tried too, I typed mine into a word document, changed font and color, then cut and pasted it on the signature line and it didn't work. As for the stars they probably just used the star key on their keyboard.* like that.

I'm done with P.C. Just say what you mean and mean what you say. It's easier.

Thanks. I don't see a star key on my laptop. Maybe it's an ipad thing. I guess I can use the asterisk.

Can you please tell me where to go to put your signature ?   I've been searching for this for a while now...

....maybe I  looked over it, but I'd appreciate the short cut right now while things are not  all as they should be !!

thx.....

It is under "Profile" which is found  by clicking on your red user name near the top of the page.  Then select "Personal Preferences", signature is toward the bottom.

To add a signature, click on your nickname, then Personal Profile, then Personal Information.  Then scroll down to Signature.  Be sure and Save it at the bottom of the page.

When I click on Profile, I don't get Personal Preferences...  How do I get there?

I just now saw this thread.

I posted a new discussion "~ Simple tip for italicizing your signature ~" and I'll add the info here, too:

'm no expert at using this new forum, so maybe I missed it...  but I don't believe the settings or the display allow the user signature to be separated from the body of the response.   As a result, it appears we're adding those words to our reply each time, and that might be misleading (or might just look a little strange Robot wink).

For those who want to add a signature, just go into "My Settings."  Then under "Personal Profile" click on "Personal Information."

This system allows HTML tags.  So, if you want italics, preface the siggy with

< em >

WITHOUT the space before and after "em."

I have to add the spaces to be able to show you the code...  without them, my text will convert to italics and the code won't display.

But if you don't remove the spaces, the code won't work in the signature line.

hth!  That's probably as clear as mud.Robot LOL   I know, it's a small thing, but on some days simple pleasures are good!

Re: signature line font

[ Edited ]

Go to my settings then personal preference and you should see it.

eta:

That should read personal information not preference. Sorry about that.
