I recently babysat my 3 and 5 year old nieces. The older one wanted to name her barbie Elsa, So my younger niece who has exact same type of doll,  threw a fit and decided she wanted Elsa too. So after tears, bribes and arguing my older niece decides to let the younger one have her way. So not to be outdone, my older niece CANNOT be outdone, so my older niece decides to choose Elsa 2. Not an earth shattering story. However it just reminded me of adults who when one has something the other wants or is jealous ofSmiley Happy

I laughed when I read this.  Some things never change.

My mother had picked out a girls name for me (59-60 years ago) and told her best friend when she was pregnant.  Her friends daughter was born a week or two before I was and she used the name mom had picked.  Mom never forgave her for it and I got a "new" name.  Glad I did because I like it better.  LOL

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

When I was pregnant with my first, I told my SIL, also pregnant, that if we had a boy he'd be named after my deceased father, Michael, well she delivered first, boy named Michael, didn't know what to think of it but as it turned out mine was also a boy named Michael as that's what we'd planned, well it wasn't till years later one of her daughters told me how upset she was that I "stole" the name, when I explained she was shocked, so just goes to show you how some people can be so envious, jealous, sorry, don't know what word to use, & we never became very close, I guess I always resented what she did.

My SIL copied everything I did.  Right down to the color scheme of our living room rug and furniture.  When I got pregnant first I mistakingly revealed the names I had chosen.    Of course, she stated those were both her choices too!  I had my son first and decided to give him a different name than the original one I chose.  Turns out she had a girl and after than two more girls.  They never had a son.  Drat.
