I'm tracking my 5 packages.... I have 3 that seems to be held in limbo by the post office. then a couple of them say they are at UPS being transferred to USPS.. ok I'm confused. how do we know what will come UPS and which one will come by the mailcarrier??? This is the slowest order I have ever had from QVC... and I cannot say that it is the fault with the Q...

@so so You really don't know. UPS has the option to either deliver to the PO, or deliver directly to your door. I get mine both ways. Typically the larger boxes come via UPS, and the small packages via postal delivery. Sometmes if UPS has other deliveries in your area that day, they will choose to deliver it themselves.

I was tracking a package at Christmas. It was at the local post office for days. When I finally got ahold of someone there they told me the post office has up to 7 days to get it delivered after they receive it.

You don't know. It's not new. A while ago, UPS explained to me that the sender chooses this type of delivery where by UPS hands it off to Usps but there is no way for the receiver to know, until the receiver sees it on tracking. Interestingly, I have had several packages that say delivery by Usps on one day and a day or two later, they say "UPS will be in your area and will deliver this package" or something similar to that. Honestly, it doesn't matter who delivers it to me as long as I get it. And I don't stalk my deliveries. I don't even look anymore. I wait 10 days and if I don't have; then I look to see what's happening. However, I am thankful that currently I am getting my QVC packages in less than a week.

It's delivered by UPS if it says UPS GROUND. If it says UPS Smartpost, then the post office delivers it. Most everything from the Q is UPS Smartpost. Almost nothing ships ground these days.

Thos is the new "normal" in shipping and is being used by every merchant with whom I do internet shopping. If you have several packages scheduled to be delivered the same day, UPS will often opt to complete the delivery. We, as consumers, don't like it because it delays our deliveries, buts that's the way it is.

Locate "Tracking Number" on your Order Page. Click "Number." That takes you to the "Tracking Status" page. Beneath "Tracking Status" located at the upper left hand corner, look for "Shipping Method." There it tells you what shipper will be delivering your package.
If you see UPS - Delivery by US Mail, the package will be picked up at a QVC warehouse by UPS. Then transferred to USPS to be delivered to you.
For smaller packages, USPS may pick up and deliver.
For heavy boxes, UPS will pick up and deliver.
On occasion, if UPS has other deliveries in your area, they will deliver the package instead of transferring it to USPS. You will be notified of this change in your Tracking Status.

@so so, sign up for the UPS MyChoice program and check the notification boxes that you want.
I get notifications that a package is coming with the tracking number. It also tells me if the package will be a UPS delivery or a Surepost (USPS) delivery.
If it is a Sureport delivery click on the tracking number and the UPS site will provide the USPS tracking number.

If an items ships UPS Smartpost, at some point they hand it off to the USPS. I have had items set in the UPS Distribution center for a week before they hand it off to the postal service. Most of what I purchase on QVC has shipping and handling of $3.50. That's cheap and so is the service. Before QVC changed their shipping process a few years ago, I would receive items in five to seven days. Now it can take ten to fourteen days.
