@shellgarden Question on TSV

[ Edited ]

I have a question if the rose gold HP Laptop you have has more of a pink tone. I am hoping it does. I do know what the rose tone looks in an iPad but not in a computer. If the Ram is upgradable I will probably buy the 17" with Office in the rose gold as long as without the backlit keyboard the letters will show up clearly. What do you think? I put a few laptops together on HP and they can't match what I want any cheaper. The 1 TB is plenty for me. I plan on buying a new iPad soon but do need a laptop for a few others things I don't do on my iPad.

Thanks.

@MKR14....HI.....

Anyway, my rose gold is GORGEOUS and definitely a pinkish color.  I was thinking that this is a 4 gb and not an 8 gb as in the one I got.  If you wanted to upgrade, then this would not be the best choice.  However, remember, I do have a 15" (purple) HP laptop in only 4 gb and still using it and going strong.  But, I wanted to upgrade to the 8 gb, as well as the beautiful color of rose gold and of course the backlit keyboard and the keys in rose gold.

I don't know what to tell you to do.  I paid (without office) at the TSV price in Sept (when I got it from advanced order), $699 (....but if you take away the tax I didn't have to pay, which was a savings of about $60, and all the added features (8 gb, 2 tb, backlit keyboard and keys, all in rose gold), it was a great deal IMO.  I just don't know what to tell you to do, except that if you don't mind the 4 gb rather than the 8 gb, then get it.  Maybe wait until it goes to "advanced order" in the 17" rose gold and that would give you a few more days to think about it.

Do you think they will have anymore TSVs before the end of the year to possibly get the one I got?  Anyway, let me know what you decide to do.  I know you can return it if you don't like it, but I think any computer we decide to get, we need to make sure it makes us happy.

@MKR14....I have the presentation on right now.  In the past 5 minutes, 2 ladies have called in and ordered the 17" ROSE GOLD.  It's popular alright, lol.  It really is a gorgeous computer.  Like I said, if you don't need or want the 8 gb or wait to see if they present another one closer to Christmas, then maybe try to get it on "advanced order" and it would give you a few more days to think about it.

Re: @shellgarden Question on TSV

I went back and fixed the heading. Yes it is you I am

following. Smiley Happy The one you got is still sold out.

I may order it when they go on advance order and then if the reviews are not good cancel it. I think it would be ok for what I need.

@MKR14....LOL, I thought so and also went back and edited my reply at the beginning.

Oh phooey, the one I got is still sold out.  I think I would wait and order on advance order also....because it would give you a few more days to think about it.  That way you could check some more or ask Alex (after the TSV is over with) if they are bringing the one I have back before the holidays are over.  You know we still have the rest of Oct., Nov (and black Friday) and of course December (holiday sales), so surely they should have another HP offer as a TSV between now and then.

The only question is if you can wait that long, or if they will even offer something in the range you want......I know it's a hard decision, but I think I'm like you (and actually did) wait until the advanced order and then order the rose gold.  I was so undecided that I did wait and then had several days to decide I did want it with all these features (plus the No Tax Day)  Let me know what you decide to do.

Re: @shellgarden Question on TSV

@MKR14......I FORGOT.  You have until January 31, 2018 to return this computer if you do not like it.

I was just watching Kerstin and she said this....so, IMO...that's great if you want to go ahead and order the 17" in rose gold and have alot of time to decide if you like it, plus.....if they do have a better deal between now and January 31, 2018....then, there you go....you can return this one and order another.  Just a thought.

Re: @shellgarden Question on TSV

I just saw that also. I think I will end up ordering the 17" rose gold with Office and just give it a try. Having the end of January is great and also you can exchange for a different color-but I doubt they still will be available. Thanks for the input. Love your posts as they are cheerful and helpful.

I was researching online and I think for what I will be using this for I will be fine. Yours probably won't come back either as they usually get a deal from HP and then go on to another configuration.

Precious had a great night. Love this meds helping our girl. Wish we could claim her on our income taxes as a

dependent. Smiley Happy

@MKR14....YAY....Great idea to go ahead and order it.  I did forget about the return up until January 31, 2018 which is a BIG PLUS for you.  I don't know....they might return the one I have, but at least if they do....you already have this one from today and you can decide if you want a 8 gb and the lighted keyboard and keys.....if you like the one you have now, then that's great too.  Either way, you will have an opportunity to check all future HP deals out, regardless if it's a TSV, ODO or other great prices.  I'll keep checking their offers and you should also, just in case they do bring mine back.  But, I'm glad you will have awhile to keep this one and decide for good.

Awwwww, I'm so glad that medicine is helping.  I love my little shih ztu and know you do too.  And, if anything happens to them, it breaks our heart.  I will continue to pray your baby is feeling better day by day.

Keep us posted on your computer situation and continue to post with us on the Mr. Lucky thread.

Re: @shellgarden Question on TSV

I am just waiting for the laptop to go to advance orders and then decide if I will order. In the meantime I am watching each of the presentations to pick up any other things that may sway me one way or another. I also was watching when Alex went live to stream QVC on the laptop and it hung up a little. Not sure if the 8GB would do that. I don't think it would. He may have just had too many programs open. I have been careful on what I buy now I am retired. I hate returning things.

I ordered two pair of Cuddledud pants and I wanted a bigger size. I decided to do the easy exchange on them. Today I received one pair and I called QVC as I couldn't track another pair. They exchanged one pair and refunded the other and charged me back $6.95 return fee. I called and told the CS Rep that is NOT what the show hosts are saying. She is refunding me the $6.95

Re: @shellgarden Question on TSV

@MKR14.....I don't know what to tell you to do.  There is another poster in the "Today's Special Value" section that also has a dilemna of what to do and I posted to her, same as you....about the length of time to exchange if you didn't like it.

Yes, keep watching the presentation.  I know you have a big decision and I know it's frustrating if you have to send it back, but the good thing is that you have an opportunity to get something to try out and see if you like it.  Other times, it's only a 30 day window to return something.  And, you can keep looking at the Q to see if they offer a better computer/deal than this one between (after today - January).  This one does have the i7 rather than the i3 that I have, but mine does have the 8 gb rather than the 4 gb this one has.  Like I said, BIG DECISION.

You have until midnight, hang on....lol.  Not funny, but just a little humor.
