sarcasm (from Merriam Webster Dictionary) - a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual.
I used to be a very sarcastic person ..... all under the guise of "funny." A close friend asked me one time "why are you so angry?" Of course, I defended myself with the usual "I'm not angry!" But, as I thought about it, discussed it with a counselor, I realized that my sarcasm did come from a root of anger and bitterness.
I'm only putting this in here because there are those who seem to enjoy using sarcasm to put others down, ridicule, and mock. I think some of you know who you are. You might want to think about why you do this. What pleasure do you get out of it? What does it do for you? Do it make you feel better about yourself?
Obviously, this is ONLY for a very few posters whom I've noticed seem to do this in an attempt to interject nastiness into a nice thread .... this is most certainly not meant for most of our friends here.
But, for those of you who do this ..... think about why.
