rescued a beagle

So as I was driving to work there was a dog that had just been hit by a car- another woman and I blocked the road and stopped traffic. There just happened to be a vet's assistant in the line up of cars. She was able to put the dog into the car ( she didn't snap or anything) took the dog to her vet clinic where she is now.

I went to visit her after work- she is already up and walking- so gentle and good natured.

No one is claiming her- she is SO sweet. no collar and no microchip. Looks to be about 5-7 years old. I would like to adopt her- but I have two shih tzus. Does anyone have any experience with beagles and other dogs? My shih tzus are 5 and 10.

She has three fractured ribs and bit her lip with her tooth so she has a cut on her lip.

I just kind of feel like she is meant to be with me. But my husband is negative. I just don't know what to do. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}
