@mspemberley

I bet you had a wonderful time! I am going to die a very sad woman if I don't get to go back at least one more time. I was made for the glitz and glamor and over the top everything 🥰  DH won't take me back because he knows I won't get on the plane to come back to Texas LOL🙃

I still wonder if it is a HIPPA thing. Think I will ask someone who should know.

You're right.  It's definitely a HIPPA violation for them to ask about what medications you take.

I'm confused about all this talk about medications. No one gives two hoots what medication anyone takes.

If a person needs a refrigerator for medication then you book one that has a fridge listed as an amenity. If a refrigerator is not listed you call the hotel and ask if one can be provided. If not...book a different hotel!

That's the way things have been for eons. Talk about making both a molehill and a mountain.

HIPAA has nothing to do with hotels, motels, or any living or retail spaces.

HIPAA protects your health information gathered by healthcare providers and insurance companies and the sharing of information between them.

A hotel asking for info about your meds does not come under the HIPAA law.  A hotel calling your doctor asking about your meds does come under that law.

Your doctor cannot release any info without your permission to anyone other than another health care provider who is also caring for you or your designated health insurance company.

@Because it hold the $6 bottles of water you can buy and the $5 sacks of snacks.

HIPPA has absolutely, positively nothing to do with hotels.  Where does such silly talk come from?  HIPPA covers privacy amongst healthcare institutions, healthcare providers and insurance companies.

@chrystaltree I still wouldn't want anyone else knowing about my meds.

Why would a hotel need or want to know about medications?
