Re: real reason Red Lobster closing stores

We used to have a Hometown Buffet in our neighborhood, it closed down during the pandemic, we didn't go there too often but I would see women loading up plastic containers that they had hidden in their tote bags to take food home, that's stealing and really disgusting!

I won't miss them one bit. I just can't eat franchise. Yuck.

Red Lobster isn't franchised, they are all corporate owned.

There is a new list of locations targeted for possible closure, including the Times Square spot.  There are about 135 locations targeted on this new list.

It could remain open if a successful lease renegotiation is reached during bankruptcy proceedings.

Re: real reason Red Lobster closing stores

I've seen restaurants have excellent specials whether it be all you can eat or outstanding prices on a particular dish.

Usually underneath the ad it will state, "For a limited time only" and give a date.

Hard to believe RL didn't have a statement like that.  Sounds like it was an excuse to shut down and blame it on the unlimited shrimp.
