it was announced today that WORDLE has been purchased from its creator by the new york times for an amount in the low seven figure range.

 

on november 1st it had 90 users.

the middle of this month it had 300000 users.

now it has over a million users.

 

hopefully it remains free, but i guess we shall see.......
