@Judaline ,  she does look familiar, I *think* she is a French actress, and her name might be something like "Madeleine Lebeau" or something like that.  But my memory for trivia is failing me on that, so don't quote me!

 

Ha, ha, clever @spiderw ,  "round up the usual suspects" is definitely an apt and colorful phrase that can apply to lots of situations....

I also love this magnificent movie.  I watch it every year and I always cry my eyes out when they sing the national anthem.  Incredible cast and story.  I will probably watch it again tonight (I DVRd it and will never delete it).  Yes, most of the extras were French Expatriats which makes it all the more moving and incredible.

I just watched this movie on TCM for the first time. Two quotes from the film that struck me are so common in our language now.
