It will start at 9 PM, a live town hall type with Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
(I'll have to record "Empire") which is on at the same time.

I plan on watching it.

Thank you for this @LilacTree, I didn't realize this was on. I hope as many people as possible watch this as it is brutal what the pharmaceutical companies have done to this nation and their health.

Thanks, Lilac Tree, for the heads-up. This is a topic near to my heart as my mother loved her pills. At one point, she was on 27 different meds that I was aware of. Long, ugly story.
From a big picture perspective, this country has long been dependent on pharmaceuticals as the basis for health care. Some good, some bad. I stay away from meds as much as possible. We need to change/modify our approach.
Don't even get me started on commercials for Rx drugs!

Hey, thank you, LilacTree! I often watch Anderson but not always and might have missed this if you hadn't given the heads up!
I am extremely interested in this issue!
Thanks again!

I call them legalized drug pushers. I thought there was a bill in Congress about banning them . . . but that's a laugh, as Big Pharma will never let that happen. It's totally disgusting to me because people fall for it.
I am 78 and have many ailments and a lot of daily pain due to RA and other autoimmune diseases. However, I take only three meds. If I listened to the docs I go to I would be on at least 20. I, too, watched my father go through this.
As most everyone knows and I am sure will be discussed tonight, Americans take 80% of the entire world's drugs even though we represent under 5% of the population.
