[Love my grandkids]

This phrase is often used in British novels and I laugh out loud each time I read it! Of course it's the British version of "Keep your shirt on" but it's so much funnier and I can always picture this.

There are so many British terms I love such as "the penny dropped" but this is my all time favorite!

I love some of the British expressions as well. One of my favorites is from Mary Poppins. "Close your mouth Michael, we are not a codfish". Don't know why it always makes me laugh, but it does every time.

I too giggle at some of the English terms...my newest laugh came from the phrase "They had a wobbler" referring to having a temper tantrum. It made me LOL!

Hi - It means 'there you have it", or "there ya go".

I'm watching Graham Norton's show right now.  By the time I finish an episode I'm thinking with a British accent.     I wonder how long Michael Sheen is going to let his hair get.     

'Gobsmacked' is one of my favs.    

I love to hear expressions from different countries.  There are also Yiddish words or expressions that I really love.
