I don't know why they do it, I never asked for it but I don't care. I'm not a FB person, I check in with FB once or twice a week just for the heck of it. I still get my order information by email and I check tracking myself. So anything QVC sends to me via FB is irrelevant.

The point is that QVC isn't sending YOU info via Facebook, but that info is shared with and used by Facebook.

I have just ordered something just to see where this FB message is, but I did not see it.
By any chance do you have a Qcard? I don't, perhaps that is the reason?????
I have just deactivated my account. I don't like Facebook anyway and hardly ever use it.

@AlleyCat- LOL - I can so identify with your comment! My hubby uses my Facebook account (and his) to play Texas Hold Em.....he doesn't care what I order, but good grief - some things are better left unknown!! I immediately changed my setting as well!

I’ve read before on the forums that people were freaking out and wondering WT*? I’ve had similar experience with other mail orders from other businesses. I’m always careful to say heck to the no.

@KingstonsMom- QVC offered this as a matter of convenience for you, to send your notifications to your Facebook MESSENGER rather than your email. That is not the same thing as them sending it to your Facebook page wall and broadcasting your purchases to everyone you know. Facebook Messenger is where the private messaging is done. None of your contacts would see that.

My confusion is that I'm not on Facebook.
And I didn't like the statement about FB 'using' my purchase info, which was stated in that message.
Either way, I had QVC CS delete it from my account and when I just made a purchase, that FB option didn't show at all.

I just went in my account settings and noticed that under "Reminders" I had opted out. I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that I can not even see the message about FB when placing an order.
