I haven't heard anything about the Q saying that in a few months they are going to close this board down.  I know that it was very disappointing and upsetting to many of us when they decided originally to close it down, but then after many of us stated how we felt, they did listen and kept it open.  I will keep posting here for however many months or years they have it for us.  I think the good outweighs the bad.  Nothing is perfect.

That's what I like about the other board. You can disagree without the posse of the perpetually clenched trying to get you eliminated. The mods there seem to frown on those who consistently report and complain about others' posts.

@JamandBread It's the same posters on both boards so it is going to be the same rhetoric. There are enough complaints about Proboards shutting down threads, threats to posters, and dead boards, so lets stop the they are "better" than QVC boards. No they are not.

I will probably go to ProBoards when they shut this one down.  As far as posting here, I haven't posted much for the past couple of weeks because I've been so busy.  I assume others have been in the same situation and that's why there hasn't been a lot of action around here.  It will pick up.

@JamandBread Maybe you didn't use the same word "better" you certainly implied it. I notice you never really respond directly to a post. You either demand we prove something, or show you where you said something. Interesting........

@manny2 Since you are accusing jamandbread in your post of needing to prove something, at Proboards you never would have read what she said in the first place. You could have put her on ignore never having to read another post from her again. It is a great feature that prevents a lot of conflict. Makes for a kinder, less argumentative board.

That in and of itself, may be why you think she implied Proboards is "better."

@manny2 I didn't imply it was better either. I said I liked that they frown on tattle tales and whiners. Please don't put words in my mouth. Especially lies.
I couldn't care less what you think of my posting style. It is irrelevant to me.

Neither these nor Proboards has been exactly scintillating in recent memory. Some of it's the holidays and a good bit of it has to do with the fact that anytime an interesting topic arises, it tends to get shut down. My biggest issue right now with Proboards is that an instant replay of QVC's boards was neither necessary nor desirable. In recent memory, several viable discussions were shut down for the same reasons they would have been shut down here. Really, who needed another set of bland and insipid 'pablum' boards, where only the like minded can speak freely? Moreover, if there are problems with discussions becoming too heated then, as noted, use the private messaging feature to call out those creating havoc, but don't shut down entire threads. Doing so punishes everybody and not just the poster creating undue conflict. Should discussion keep being cut off and interested and interesting posters keep opting out, there'll be a group of about twelve folks over there saying the same things and genuflecting to each other...

@JamandBread You are one angry person. You also accuse everyone of lies why? Interesting.....

Everyone has been able to speak freely. I've had a few things poofed, but not a big deal. Although I don't like to see entire threads locked, it doesn't happen very often. I don't use the pm feature there except to occasionally touch base with a poster I met here. I'm not interested in gossiping privately about other posters, but I'm sure there are some who thrive on it. Not my problem or my business.
I think pm'ing the mods to complain about posts you don't like is a nuisance. Just like here.
