And forum friends, the battle wages on.
And I don't understand why.

I also get frustrated when a harmless and positive thread goes south due to one snarky comment and then the entire thread gets shut down.

I use both boards and like knowing that if/when QVC stops this board I won't be cut off entirely and left adrift. It would be more like "Oh well" rather than "Oh no!"
I don't find Proboards hard to navigate - just different. And like any technology today, it takes a bit of effort to master something new. (But not much.)
Doesn't matter to me who posts on what board. Not my business.

I can tell Q has improved some of their tech issues since I am at least able to sign in....without lots of prompts or rejects or errors. As long as they keep it working I will still come in and check things out, but when the old problems begin again, I won't waste time anymore. Just not worth it. I don't do the Proboards.

Well, I am not interested in posting on a QVC Facebook site. That does not seem private to me.

@Chi-town girl - I've never been party to any argument with you that I know of and all I did was state my honest opinion.
I don't believe in criticizing either forum - if you think that's "muzzling" or "shaming", sorry. But truly, what's the point?
I don't know what your experience was on ProBoards, but I can only assume it wasn't very nice. I'm glad that this forum is still here for anyone who uses it.

@CrazyDaisy - I have no idea what others talk about on the PB forums. I don't read every single post. On that board or on this one.
But I do have a question now that you (and others) have brought it up: why spend time on any forum that you don't feel happy and comfortable with?
I don't have a dog in this fight - I'm happy on either board. At least I was until this thread. It's not feeling so welcoming now, TBH.

@cakers,
Yes it's very simple. There is a pattern here which cannot be mistaken. It is obvious to even casual observers, who may read but rarely post. The pattern continues on proboards but is frowned upon. It makes a difference.
I'm not sure what the PhD comment was about, but if asking people to cite their sources for ugly opinions smacks of PhD level work, I'm all for it.
In both places there is certainly a pattern of nattering away at a post until it is closed.

@JamandBread I do not have time to analyze "patterns". One poster recently referred me as the "nastiest" poster here-and it wasn't even her business to stick her nose into my post with another poster (which was about a simple opposite pov). I learned to never respond to her again even though I see the baiting that is obviously based on some of my posts. So I simply skip over her now.
As far as the Ph.D comment- meaning this is a chat board. Easy convos about life, entertainment, health, etc. Nobody here is writing a dissertation to defend a position.
Once a determination is made regarding another poster, that poster will never be able to "redeem" herself with some around here. Not that the poster has to do so.
Sometimes extending an olive branch, which I have done in the past, makes the board much easier to navigate.
Those needing the last word all the time, have at it. I get those posters-the need to have the last word is a flaw in them, not in me. I ignore those final jabs.
We all have said some things that may or may not have been out of line; perception based on liking or disliking a person will be clouded.
All I'm trying to say in yet another of my long-winded post is this-we have some who did pick at this forum on PB and we have some who did pick on PB on this forum.
There will always be a very few who just cannot let things be; and if they do, they leave claw marks as they begrudgingly let go of an issue.
It's a chat board.
And yes, it is just that simple.

I looked at the FB forum page and found it very boring so I unfollowed it. I don't plan to go to another site for Q related news and forums. When this one goes, so do I.
