'Look, I'm walking!' Adorable four-year-old girl with cerebral palsy squeals with delight as she successfully walks on her own for the first time

We all want to be as strong as this little girl.  

An adorable video shows the moment Maya, 4, manages to take several steps without the help of a cane or anyone nearby.

'First Steps - 4 years, 10 months,' her mother - Ann Tisdale - said on Facebook. 'I can’t even put into words how we are feeling. Nothing seems to fit the enormity of this moment for us. We are beyond proud of our Mighty Girl.'

The clip starts with the youngster - who has cerebral palsy - lifting herself up while her brother, pet dog, mother and father all watch from the sideline. 

'Get your balance first,' the girl is told by her parents as she begins making small steps.

'You've done it for a minute,' her brother adds.

She happily screams 'I'm walking!' and has a large smile on her face as she successfully takes more steps.

@feline groovy, I saw this on the news earlier tonight. I burst out in tears. This little sweet pea is going places, no doubt in my mind. She has such a "can do" attitude and the tenacity to achieve her goals. God bless her and let her be an inspiration to others.

@Its Me LuLuBelle2:  ITA with your sentiments - the video choked me up as well.  I especially love her "yes!" with fists raised.  Maya is quite a character, LOL; check out her Instagram page for more videos.  8)

I was just about to add that I loved the bit where she punched the air with her fist and said "Yes!".  What a beautiful little girl.  I think she has a bright future ahead of her.

That precious little girl! 💕 I couldn’t stop crying! I grabbed my phone and recorded it to show my family. When the norm for kids these days seems to be the latest iPad, all this little punkin’ wanted was to walk “like her peers!” 😭And the pure excitement in her voice was both heart warming and heart wrenching all at the same time. What a SPECIAL little girl with an amazing, loving family!! I wish them all many, many more blessings❣️
