I just read that forever stamps are rising in price from 73 cents to 78 cents on July 12. Guess I'll start buying now and then, though, I don't use near as many as I used to.

I'd be surprised if any of us do, I know I don't-they are saying this is part of the reason for the increase. That seems counter intuitive to me....you want us to mail more so you raise the price of postage?

'Still'.......I think that having a plain stamp option at a lower price rate would be a good thing.  For mailing bills, correspondence, etc.

There are plenty of other customers who would love to keep the beautiful stamp options for special mailings, etc.

'It would all work out' in the long run, imo.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

That's the plain flag stamps. You're paying for the SERVICE.

Bought a big supply when they were sixty something. I suppose we should get some again. I still like to send cards and invitations by mail.

The high price of a greeting card is what surprises me.

I still like to send cards and letters often, so I will pay the increase. It's worth it to me to keep in touch that way with people and  I really do love the pretty or unique stamps!

@tansy -- I totally agree.  Cards at the Hallmark stores have gotten so expensive.  I picked up a BD I liked but saw it was $6.95.  I put it back.

We have a dollar store close by that sells really nice cards.  That's where I go now.
