Re: postage increase

[ Edited ]

@gidgetgh   I send cards most weeks to friends, family, birthday, thinking of you, sympathy, holiday cards. I pay my bills online.  But I still send probably 75-80 Christmas cards. I got quite a supply of forever stamps on eBay. Probably 1 or 2 increases ago.  I probably still have 3 rolls of 100.  At these prices, I do realize that many have stopped sending Christmas cards.  I will continue to send.

@gidgetgh Thank you for the heads up on the stamp pricing.   I will need to repurchase some this week & every penny counts as MS just raised our gas tax to 21 from 18......

Increase is on July 13th.  It is a 5 cent increase. If you need stamps, now would be the time to get them.

Now I'll sit back and wait for all the "I can't remember the last time I used a stamp" replies.   I actually used a stamp today.

I purchased mine yesterday. I'm still old school and send cards and bills in the mail. I know....but that's what I'm comfortable with,

I don't use as many as I used to, but I'll still get a couple more "books" before they go up. In fact, I bought some a couple weeks ago and must have missed the last time they went up as I didn't realize they had gone up to $14.60, and now $1.00 hike.I think I'll have about 10 books. Seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot.

Will try to remember to pick up some in the next week.  I use  very few stamps.  Mostly for estimated taxes, some birthday cards and a handful of Christmas cards. Bills are paid online.

I enjoy sending cards and for those I use some of the Happy Birthday stamps and the Celebration stamps I bought years ago. I wonder if those are still available? I like seeing the display panel of new stamps my post office has. I just don't enjoy going inside. Horrible busy small parking lot with lots of drivers cutting through to avoid an intersection.

Hi @gidgetgh   Thank you for this notice.

I use stamps also, & enjoy buying their memorable stamp designs.  Hopefully they have the RBG stamps in now.
