I understand it's important to vent. But then people might say things that they regret later. Like, right now I feel bad about my assessment of the situation. So maybe just letting things settle down a bit before posting. But really, I'm happy that things are OK with your family, and it does sound like a close knit family. I totally get it because my family is Italian too, and we have our disagreements and then move on.

Maltese, I'm glad to hear that things are good. It does sound like your dd has "issues", though. Therefore, I would practice not taking things she says, or information she gives as "fact", ever again. For whatever reason, she stirs things up. Love her? Sure! Pay much attention to what she says? Well, I'm fairly sure that many of us knew/know of similar (more or less) situations and incidents, no matter how big or small. Lots of good suggestions and comments, even though they might not/don't/no longer apply to this particular O/P. But there's always someone who will get a better sense of perspective, etc. just by reading comments and suggestions. I always learn a lot, reading these various threads. Thank you!

Yes,everything is very helpful and I am thinking a lot about these sugestions.

Especially the one about my daughters attitude ! Because this whole misunderstanding was really her fault for not telling the truth about it all and exaggerating it all to upset me a lot ,egging me on to get madder and madder, so when someone wanted to tell me truth, I wouldn't listen,I was so mad.......now she is mad to know she was only invited to keep my DIL company cause she didn't know anyone.....lol.........her story about the whole family being there backfired on her.I have been told many times,she often baits me just to get me into an argument. Stupid me for allowing it to happen......

But in reading these posts I see I always helped her out of situations she got into .maybe I went overboard in helping her out too many times. Yes,I know did!!!

There is a lot I can pay more attention to and maybe make other choices and changes too.
