i ordered a skirt with express shipping from HSN - and a necklace with regular shipping, both on the same day.  i got an e-mail that they are sending the necklace along with skirt express shipping - they combined the shipments at no additional cost to me.  now that is the sort of thing that builds customer loyalty.

Nice.  Smart.   Not to say that something like that would instill customer loyalty in me.  The quality of the merchandise and value does that.  I think it's a perk because you used express shipping for one item and sending both items costs them nothing and it's the type of thing that you would appreciate and share with other people...like you did.  Free advertisement.

nice to know that HSN coordinates shipments (2 separate orders on same day) - and knows that it can send out one package rather than two - which probably saves them money.  i like efficiency - it leads to better pricing and happy customers.
