What I would like to know is are the refugees asked where they would like to relocate?  In the past there have been refugees that came here because they were not able to go the country of their choosing and once here became very unhappy and spread their anti American sentiment in the workplace.  Also, I agree with Jeb to bring in the Christians but how does one tell who is a Christian and who is not just because they say so...

I would think that those fleeing from syria are doing so because they are scared for their own lives and the lives of their families. They have no intent to harm.  By disallowing them a refugee status, there are only two choices

1.  we are condeeming them to death

2.  we are force them into the arms of ISIL because they need to survive, and therefore, allowing the ranks of ISIL to grow. ISIL will use this as propoganda to recuit more, about how heartless and hateful the western world is to the plight of women and children and how they took them in.

by takin in the refugees, we can turn that around and use that against ISIL.  We did this with refugees from the Communist countries - took them in, even though there were some that were spies.   Took them in, learned from them, their culture and used it against the USSR to show how people didn't want to live in a communist regime

Let's not do what we did in 1939 when refugees were denied entry in this country.

Yes, we'll take them in.  But the risk is known....one or more of the refugees may turn out to be a Trojan horse who will attack us. A refugee attacked and killed in France; it can happen here, as well.

Wow, how so wonderful of him and you. That is why we are in the state we are in...all around the world people use this as their reason to exclude or kill people. Good grief.

Melania, they're killing Christians in the Middle East, you know.  You don't think they deserve refugee status?

one out of how many? We should turn away thousands of men, women and innocent children because of one person?

we knew the risk of taking in Communist refugees as well.  Are you saying that wasn't a huge risk with the Cold War?

In the past this worked.  In the present, not so much.  When they enter other countries and start demanding that everything be for them ... respect their culture ... take care of them without respecting the culture of what they came in to.  When these states, countries, give them a safe place ... I have a problem.  We welcome you ... we saved you ... we gave you shelter.  Try respecting what we do instead of condeming the nation(s) that saved your sorry a because you couldn't/wouldn't stand up and fight for yourself.
