Regarding any given state saying No to admitting refugees, in the end it doesn't matter unless the Feds or all states say No. Once here, there is no requirement for a statused refugee to remain in the state they were assigned to, and there are no border checks between states. So, if 47 of the 48 continental states said No, the one state that said Yes could let them in, giving all access to all 50 states. Louisiana just dealt with this in the last two days. They "lost" one of the refugees admitted, couldn't find him, but he was eventually found in another state.

There is another thread that spoke of creating an army out of all the displaced refugees and sending them back to take back their countries. What a novel idea! If you want to come to America, your first two years will be spent serving the country in some way in the military. They would learn the language and have marketable skills to enter the job force instead of relying on handouts. If you don't want to serve, don't come. That might weed out some of those with questionable motives.

Now, that's a ****** good idea!!!

No, it's not.

From what I can gather they are going to be settled in Camden,East Orange,Elizabeth and Jersey City. I wonder how the residents of those towns feel?

To all those so sympathetic to allowing the refugees into your country.  The terrorists may be screen out - good.  HOWEVER, the ones that are here or come here easily become radicalized and then the horror begins. How will your sympathy help you then?

NO to refugees.

SMH at statements not grounded in any real facts. Nothing is 100% foolproof, not even regarding our own citizens carrying out terrorist attacks.

I am very upset by the fact that our president does not care about keeping the citizens of the U.S. safe.  If he did, he would voluntarily put a moratorium on Middle East immigration until things improved.

Harry Reid is another one that just doesn't care.  He refused to sign Kate's Law that would have prevented illegal repeated felons from re-entering the U.S. over and over and taking refuge in sanctuary cities.  Many of our citizens have been killed by these people, but Reid wants to protect them.  Despicable.  And his reason?  It wouldn't be fair to the immigrant community.  Now that is sad...

Just how many have been killed by these people HERE??? Source??

Same old rant and fear mongering, I see.

Some states have already allowed Syrian refugees...Texas, California and Michigan.

Funny how now Texas has changed it's mind.

How about you have as much revulsion for your Congress? Don't answer...I already know the answer. SSDD.

The Washington Times had an article awhile back stating that 121 murders have been committed by illegals that the O administration released.  I'm sure the victims' families are ever so grateful to the president.  And that's just the ones that he released; there are many, many more murders that have been committed by illegals that we have not caught.

I'm disgusted with Congress, so again, you are wrong.  Our politicians on both sides are not doing their jobs in protecting us.  They only care about protecting the illegals.

They'll probably live as model citizens in the towns and cities that accept them, just like the 9/11 terrorists did.  They were soccer dads and pillars of their communities.  They studied and learned how to live as Americans and fly under the radar.

What they will do, though, is to secretly form ties with their terrorist organizations and plan their attacks in other cities, such as Washington, D.C, which is where they say the next attack will occur.

Colonel Jack Jacobs, a retired Army Colonel was on the Stephen Colbert Show last night and was asked what it would take to rid the world of ISIS.  He said dropping bombs is not going to help; that boots on the ground are needed and specifically hundreds of thousands of troops to fight for a decade maybe two.  He also said that the dropping of bombs was always meant to clear the way for boots on the ground to "pick up the garbage." When he was asked about the countries in that region taking care of the problem, he said that Iran and Saudi Arabia hate one another and would never coalesce but those two countries along with Turkey would make a powerful military force.
