a lot of people, regardless of their religious beliefs, are getting beheaded and killed in that region.

Don't forget, a lot of the countries fighting ISIL are from the middle east

Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Bosnia, Lebanon, Iran, Kuwait

and many of them are majority Muslim countries.
