Try as i may, i can not figure out how to do this on my old lap top,there are no keys on it ,i have read online,i just don't understand.

Just hit the "return" key twice on your keyboard to start a new paragraph.

Your 'return' key might be called 'enter'?  It's just to the right of the 'L' and the colon/semicolon and quote keys.

I'm just noticing that on the laptop I'm using right now (it's my newest one), that it's called 'enter'.  HTH

          @goldensrbest,  As @RedTop said, you only need to tap or click the "Return" or "Enter" key a couple of times to move to a new paragraph.  

           However, you also need to be using "Rich Text" instead of "HTML." 

          You can click/tap "Rich Text" at the top of each post or go to your Settings, under Preferences, under Preference Options, and for "Default editor to use for posts" check "Rich Text Editor."  (Be sure to click/tap "Save" after making changes to your settings.)

         Hi, @goldensrbest!   I'm glad you got it working by entering the HTML code every time, but if you'll switch to "Rich Text" you won't need to do that and you can use all the formatting tools available on each post.   Good job, @Moonchilde and @goldensrbest, and everyone who helped out!
