Hi keli,
I just wanted to give you an update on my efforts to get my three rescued ferals to eat canned food.
Mama was no problem. She probably had to not be picky when she was living on the streets-LOL! Her two daughters were more stubborn. We had to do some experimentation to get them tempted with the wet food. They'd had nothing but dry since they were weaned. It did take time. I found that rubbing some of the food on their gums helped a lot.
I am happy to say, everyone has been converted. I have prancing meowing kitties in the kitchen when I say "who wants dinner?" They get canned food in the evening and no-grain, all protein dry food during the day.
Their coats are simply gorgeous. Spring shedding seems to be a little less than most years.
Thanks for posting the info! I feel really good about this whole thing!
