odd items in my HSN boxes today

so today i picked up several packages from HSN. first one, looked as if it had come open, and there was a piece of tape across it.

imagine my suprise when inside were 2 items from Gap Kids. HSN does not sell Gap Kids.

Next package was some Paul Nassif items i ordered, along with 2 Benifit brow pens. (i would never have ordered these) but HSN does sell these.

called customer service to see what to do with the items, and she said keep/donate the childrens clothing, (no they don't sell it) and keep the benifit pens as well.

I did check my order status, to see if maybe in some limbo state i somehow ordered these pens, but no.

very odd indeed. i guess i'll give one of the pens a try.

Makes you wonder, with all the stories of packages dumped by drivers or trucks involved in accidents during bad weather, if they tried to "put the packages back together" and got it wrong.

I had ordered a set of 2 HomeWorx candles and instead inside was a set of 3 tiny waffle makers by a brand only sold at HSN LOL! Not sure how that one happened getting mixed up but I bet it was a return for the waffle makers just put in the HomeWorx box and Q didn't open it and tossed it back on the shelf

Some shippers must be taking the Humpty Dumpty approach when packages open up in transit.

Lately my HSN packages have taken longer to arrive. I haven't had any issues like you but I always received HSN items much faster than QVC and I am in the midwest. Nothing damaged or signs of previous opening of packages

That's so strange about the Gap Kids stuff in the box. The only thing that I can think of is that Gap Kids and HSN use the same warehouse, and somebody working at the warehouse made a mistake, which does happen sometimes. I worked more than 30 years in logistics and I do know that even large companies enter in to contracts with warehouses. These warehouses are large companies themselves, and have their 'branches' all over the country.

At least you had something in your package.

For the 2nd time in 3 mos...I have had my packages opened and the contents stolen.

The jewelry boxes were both in there, but contents removed. 2 times now!

Qvc is taking care of the issue for me, but of course, one item was sold out.

Final delivery by USPS. I contacted my PO Master, he said he had a picture that they received it opened like that from Mail Innovation. He also said he has no contact info for Mail Innovations to report it. Qvc will have to do that he said.

Whether he is correct or not, at least I brought it to his attention.
