Got an email from "amazon" about an order I placed May 3, about when it would be delivered.

First...I didn't order anything May 3.

Second...all my orders have been received except the one I placed yesterday.

Third..."Order details and invoice in attached file."

Yeah...I don't think so.

Anyone else?

It's definitely malware trying to get you to bite. Toss it away and forget about it. Computers have become quite secure these days so the bad guys now have to try and trick people into downloading their malware.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it's trouble.

From amazon re: suspicious email:

Note: If the "from" line of the e-mail contains an Internet Service Provider (ISP) other than @amazon.com, then it's a fraudulent e-mail.

There's more, but that pretty much draws the line between real and not real.

And they are VERY good at making it look legit.

I get regular notices from my credit card as to my card balance, due date, etc. I don't even click on the links in those. If I want to check on things, I type in the address myself.

Weird. I got one today (in Junk Box)) that said Amazon Review...Please review...It was an item I had never heard of. Dump.

I receive these on my yahoo account. My yahoo account is not the one listed on my Amazon account.

Good to see you back. It was a little boring without you.

And it means the cowboy is on the mend.

A win-win.
