Nick Cannon Ordered to Step Down as Radio Host

Nick Cannon is stepping down as host of his daily radio morning show, citing doctor’s orders.
In a statement issued by Cannon, he said, “Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule."
Last Friday, the 31-year-old “America’s Got Talent” host was in the hospital getting tests done when he was found to have two blood clots in his lungs, he told his 92.3 NOW listeners.
“I also had an enlarged ventricle in my heart,” he said.
Doctors discovered that Cannon’s immune system was attacking his organs, and that the condition was exacerbated by his extensive traveling.
“That, on top of my previous condition, actually made me more prone to this,” Cannon said. “If it isn’t one thing, it’s another.”
