just got a automated phone call. letting me know that they have "renewed" my amazon prime and charging my account for 149 $. press one to cancel charge ect. 

Hung up at that point and went to amazon to see.....

I do not suscribe to amazon prime BTW.

nothing there. i'm sure they wanted to get me to "verify" information to "cancel" the charge. 

 Just a heads up.  first time i have received this call.

@kittylooGotta love the stupidity of the scammers.  Last week 3 different scammers warned me my bank account had been closed.  True -   I closed my account with the named bank myself -- more than 10 years ago!

I am sure they are looking to receive personal information.  Shame on them.

Thanks for letting all of us know about this one.

I am really tired of all of these different scams that are out there. 

It seems like nothing is left alone when it comes to creating a scam about it!

What gets me ,,is they try using local phone numbers but my caller id says "out of area " !
