I do not answer my landline and let the answering machine take it.  I get the minimum of at least 5+calls a day, but they hang up when I don't come on the line.  Most are recorded calls.

     After one week of over 60 calls, I put a very specific message on my phone about not answering any call from a number I don't know. I ask 'them' to leave a message.  Amazing how few messages are left!!

I have all my contacts in my cell phone set to a ring tone and my default ringtone is silent.

If I don't have your number in my phone, it doesn't even ring.  I am soo smart :-)
