Google does not make you an expert!
But if it's on the internet it must be true......

It's amazing to me that so many think that recycling is something new, something "current" (Green and trending) because our world is going to you know where in a hand basket and we all need to get on board with recycling.
I can tell you that I was raised by parents who weren't far from the Depression Days and who recycled, re-purposed and made a lot of what they needed. I grew up knowing that I must use both sides of the paper when I colored or drew or I wouldn't get any more paper (after all, I was told paper came from trees and they had to grow first before they could be harvested and I must NOT waste precious resources). I was not allowed to waste a pencil, it had to be used until I could no longer hold it because it was too short. This attitude prevailed in everything. No waste... if you wasted, then don't go crying for more. We tried to use every scrap of everything... and so do I, and so do my sons. It's not good for us or our earth to waste.... But unfortunately our society does waste and doesn't think much about it. There is a great book written in the 60's called "The Waste Makers" by Vance Packard. It outlines how and why we are such a disposable society today. Worth reading.
With all the plastics having been developed, used and discarded... it makes sense to try and find other uses for the little cups... and those roses still need old coffee grounds!

LOL, yes repurpose is a good word. People want other people to do the recycling for them, and it's just not an option for a lot of people.
Like the plastic butter dishes people save, the new rectangle I can't believe it's not butter are also great for crafting, putting things like screws, hose washers, etc. We are only limited by our own imagination.

Q4U, awesome response!!!!!! The world doesn't begin or end with recycling. There are so many other ways of preserving our resources.
