Re: need suggestions from my friends

Thanks again everyone. I am going to check into all of your suggestions.

Basically what I need are a two quart, a three quart and a small stock pot.  that have the non stick. I have big stainless stew pots, and the le creuset dutch ovens.

September, I live up on  the hill. Do you come here often?--yes, they are very nice at the store here. We were at Paseo Nuevo yesterday shopping, and heading back again to go to Nordies tomorrow. Will check out the store then.

Re: need suggestions from my friends

@hennypenny , looking for glass lids, non-stick, open stock for 3 pieces.

I have all the cookwear I'll ever need, but if I were replacing those 3 pieces I'd possibly consider the new ceramic non-stick interiors. I have quite a bit of Wearever, among others, with hard anodized exteriors and they are great for everyday cooking. As I get older I find I really prefer the grip of soft touch handles instead of the metal or hard plastics. I don't put them into the oven so it's not an issue.

I just took a look and QVC has some cookwear on clearance prices.

Re: need suggestions from my friends

Hedge, I have to laugh, -----mr henny just asked about the "copper" ceramic pans. He said he saw them on some tv ad.  I told him they had one on the Q  the other day. Not the right size, but maybe they have some on their site that would work. I do think I remember seeing the ceramic pans with colored interiors, maybe that would be a go.

Re: need suggestions from my friends

I had T-Fal non-stick and when it came time to replace the second set because of wear and scratches, etc. I went with their stainless steel.  I was tired of having to replace the non-stick.

Re: need suggestions from my friends

We bought a fabulous set of non stick ceramic over metal pots for the camper this summer called green life. We got them at Walmart and I absolutely love using them, so much that when we came home we replaced our pots here with a full set of the green life. Please look at these at Walmart.com before you buy here on QVC as I feel you will be very impressed with this nice set of pots - non stick but no teflon - they are some sort of ceramic inside. The handles are silicone so they can go from the stovetop right into the oven too. Highly recommend.

Re: need suggestions from my friends

I'm done buying sets.  I buy open stock now so I can get exactly the pieces I want.

I have a few stainless pieces and a few non-stick from KItchen Aid.  I bought them at Kohl's.  They've held up nicely.   The non-stick has silicon handles.

The reason I buy only open stock is I reach for the same pieces over and over again.  I like glass lids so I can see inside the pot.
