I purchased mine from Home Depot when I bought my stove. Very reasonably priced. I selected one for about $100.00. Like you, I primarily wanted the light and the exhaust and no outside vent.

okay so you had an over the range microwave and want to go a hood, plus you need a ductless because you are not vented to the outside
couple of things you need to keep in mind..............an OTR micrwave has a height of about 15 inches, a hood 6-7 inches, so that hood is going to be a lot higher then you are used to with a microwave, so the apperance will be a bit different.
When you are looking at a ductless vent, keep in mind to check out the price of the carbon filter, they can be costly on some brands.....a ductless hood requres the use of cabon filters as well as the grease filter..........you want a CFM (cubic feet per minute) of no less then 250...........also keep an eye on the somes (sound level)..........generally the higher the CFM the more noise..........bigger the moter, the louder the sound, although some of the higher end hoods move a lot of air and are still queit...........bottom line.........other then what I have mentioned................a ductless hood vent is a ductless hood vent.................................................raven

The fan has four speeds and there are two halogen lights than can be dimmed or made bright enough to cook in the dark with only them turned on.
I am a heavy duty cook and needed something that really worked and I needed light above my range that was bright. I put the filters in the dishwasher to clean them so I don't have to keep replacing the filters.
Home Depot had this, but it was way too expensive there. I found it online and ordered it with fee delivery. I wish I could remember the name of the company I ordered it from. There are many online companies who sell this brand.
the filters you are throwing in the dishwasher are the grease filters...........a ductless hood also uses a carbon filter and those you can not wash........................................raven

most do, the call them convertables.............just requires you remove the plate or leave it............they have gone to convertables to keep the inventory down........same deal with OTR microwaves...............................raven

There are replaceable filters under the washable ones, but they stay pretty clean and I have only needed to replace them once in 5 years. I purchased extras when I bought my hood and they are still in the closet unopened.
