To answer the question, though, yes, I would go if she's a close friend of yours. BTW, I have been to several black tie weddings where many of the men simply wore suits.

@Lakelife62 But there are always things we have to go to that we feel negative about.  We don't have to like it, we just have to act like we do.  That's why my mommie piched me when I was little and started to act out!  My momma raised me right.

I can fake it with the best of 'em!  Meetings, church, weddings, funerals, work etc.

Sure there are things that you have to attend but don't want to. I get that. A wedding, unless it's your own, is not one of them.

@Lakelife62 To me a wedding tops the list. But some you DO have to go to.   Mom did me a great favor by pinching me.  I thank her for raising me every day.
