It seems every saturday my neice has to take her kids to birthday parties. I asked her how come and she said that every one of the 41 kids in her son's class has a party on the kid's birthday and they are invited. She laughed and said she was limiting the gifts to $15. That means every year for their birthday each of these kids get 40 birthday gifts plus what ever they get from parents and grandparents. WHAT???? No kid needs that! I suggested to her that instead of this they should have a monthly party for all the kids who have a birthday that month and instead of them GETTING gifts the birthday kids should each GIVE Jesus a gift for a kid who doesn't have anything. (it is a Catholic school). She thought it sounded good but didn't know if she could get it through all the other mothers. What do you think?? Sometimes she has over $100 in one month for birthday gifts, not to mention this takes up many saturdays.
