I would delete the email and go directly to the site for social security and set up an account that is password protected. That way  if you wish to download your statement, which I do at least once a year you can do this from a trusted site.

     I had the same problem with a ex- son in law . I had so many calls  abt 15 yrs  ago , but now they've  stopped .

 My husband gave one credit caller  abt 15 yrs  ago the guy's Mother's name & address  as she had moved out of state . It was abt 5  yrs before the calls finally stopped  since we would not answer the phone .

   did you ever try to get your info removed from  searches such as People Smart & those other  public search  engines ?
