I wish you the very best with the project, it would be very rewarding to help.
I am sorry for all that your father had to go through, he sounds like a wonderful man.

ya know what............I'm going to answer you as he would............don't feel sorry for him, he lived his life on his terms in his way with no apologies.......he missed out on nothing............he drove a car, it was illegal as all get out but he did it........he took his girls to the drive in every Friday night........to the parks and museums on Saturday.....taught them some very valuable life lessons....made an impression on them in a short time, when it would take most men a lifetime to do..........had a slew of girlfriends at the door at all times........raised h#LL with Merle at the Blackboard...........faced an awful painful agonizing death and did it with dignity..............yes he was an absolutely wonderful man and he was my hero and my role model....................................raven

I never said I felt sorry for your father, I said I felt sorry for all he had to go through.

I told you I was going to answer you as he would have
he would have told you to not feel sorry.....and this is why....you feel sorry when you think something is bad, or someone is at a loss, or incumbered in some way.........he didn't view his situation, his life that way..........he made what he was given, his life and he held on with both hands............he would have been angry to hear you felt sorry.........actually he would have been enraged........and to be honest, I'm a little, just a little, angry too........I know you meant well, so thank you for that..........and maybe I'm a little sensitive........but that comes with years of hearing the word cripple and I feel sorry, associated with your father........or poor little girls, their dad's a cripple........he was anything but a cripple...........so if you took what I wrote wrong, I hope this explains it............................................raven

It's a good point, misspammie. Businesses, groups, people love the attention they garner when their good deeds are made public. However, the young man in question might not relish the idea of his circumstances going so public. Even in today's world, there are still some people who don't want to be in the spotlight.
dobee, gotcha. you're right. I still bless Raven

Nice thing for you to do.
And to those who quietly go about making good deeds happen every day, thank you!
