iPhone's "buy one get one free" deal?

Has anyone taken advantage of this deal?

I know Verizon and AT&T both are and probably other providers as well.

Nothing is free, might be a good sale but not free for sure.

My sister checked with ATT about this offer. The big "got cha" is having to redo your plan and its cost. We are grandfathered with our unlimited data plan from years ago.

I just transferred from T-Mobile (after 20 plus years with them) to AT&T and that deal wasn't offered to me. I had the iPhone 6s with T-Mobile and I just upgraded to the 8s but it cost me a pretty penny.

Can you tell me why you switched from T-Mobile?  I'm curious because I've been with AT&T forever and was thinking about going to T-Mobile.  Thanks for your response.

Re: iPhone's "buy one get one free" deal?

For those thinking of switching to T-Mobile, my brother and his wife did after many years with Verizon. Not only was T-Mobile cheaper, they get unlimited Netflix with their plan. I've heard their cell reception can be sketchy, but they never had a problem. Because they were new customers, they did take advantage of the buy one get one free, but we're an Android family, so they each got a Galaxy 7.

Typically the buy one get one free, you have to be a new customer, or you have to change your plan if you're an existing one. When I was with Verizon, if I wanted to take advantage of any deals, they would want me to go to a new plan which meant higher charges, so I never did. I was already paying over $90 just for me. I paid off the rest of my contract and went to Boost Mobile.
