Go to "Spooky House Studios" and get "Bubble Explode."
It starts easy and later gets harder....it starts to add more things to do...such as lighting bolts blasting away balls, and balls that explode, and dropping balls that remove rows of bubbles......other things too.
You have to explode the lines of balls before all the balls drop down to the bottom of the screen.
I play that most of the time over all over games.
It was free.

I like also "Rail Maze." Object is going down the rail road track to the train station. You have to move the tracks before the train leaves the station. You hope a on coming train does not hit you. Or you moved the tracks wrong and the train goes off the tracks. It starts easy....and goes hard. You keep trying over and over to get that darn train down the track, and into the train station.
It was free.

I used to love Angry Birds and was playing several different versions of it. I got kind of tired of it, but maybe I should play it again. Thanks for mentioning it.

I ADORE Monument Valley....and Prune is on my list to get.
These 2 apps/games are zen-like, strategic, quiet-type of challenges.
If you like chess, you'll like these two apps.
The graphics w/ Monument Valley are stunningly beautiful.
Both games are Top Editors picks in the App Store.
The cost...$3/$4, but worth it.

I highly recommend the app called "AppsGoneFree" by AppAdvice. (link: http://appadvice.com/apps-gone-free)
It's a wonderful way to try highly-rated apps and catch them when they're offered free for a limited time. Many of them are for kids or for special interests, but I've found some great things I wouldn't otherwise have known about.
Right now I'm hooked on crosswords (I like the one by Stand Alone, Inc. -- they have a free "lite" offering, and also a paid version) and jigsaw puzzles (I like "Jigsaw Box" by Sparkle Apps), and I like "TanZen" and "DuBlox."

HTH, and thanks for all the recommendations!
