A friend of mine who lives in Rochester, MN e-mailed me that it was snowing in his neck of the woods in the morning which turned to rain and melted all the snow. It has been a terrible winter for many states this year. I'm a native of Queens, N.Y. but lived in Southern CA for 40 years and never missed the east coast weather. Been here in AZ for 8 years and still miss CA and I am concerned about the drought they are having which was reported recently could last for years to come...hope not.

I love snow but not in April, May or June. You are welcome to it; I'm out of the mood. Did you hear that there seems to be a trend toward an El Niño, which will mean a wetter than normal winter for the Southwest? It could also result in a good monsoon season this summer. We'll see....

Please do not say the S word....LOL It's cold and wet here but, thank heavens, no snow. I do hope that's behind us. People in warmer climates (and retailers) tend to forget that warm weather doesn't really come to many parts of the country until very late May or June.

We're having temps in the mid to high 90's today. Mixed with the strong winds we're preparing for an early wild fire season

Oh Sylvia, I feel your pain. It's way colder here in Atlantic Canada than it should be. My neighbor and I were at the nursery in freezing rain and snow last week. YUCK! LM

It's in the 80s here. That may not sound like much to some people, but when it's usually in the low 60s and jumps 20 degrees in two days, it's not fun.
