hungry wolves threaten village

Today I read in the Anchorage Daily News that the village of Port Heiden is threatened by a wolf pack. So far only dogs have been taken. In Alaska dog yards are common with sled dogs staked out all winter. Last year a special ed teacher was killed by wolves in nearby Chevig Lake.
