anson mount announced on facebook that the show has been renewed for the 5th season.

BUT it will be the final season!! ${#emotions_dlg.crying}$ and even worse - the season is to be split with the

first half in 2015, and the second half in 2016. ${#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}$

As expected, He.ll On Wheels will be returning for a fifth season. But it will be AMC’s unsung ratings hero’s final go-around. The network has given a 14-episode fifth season pickup to the Western period drama. Like it has done with its other signature series, including Mad Men and Breaking Bad, AMC will split the final season of He.ll On Wheels into two, with seven episodes airing in 2015 and seven in 2016.

AMC’s decision to set an end date for He.ll On Wheels is surprising. The show opened up a new night of original programming for the network on the low-trafficked Saturday and has held up well there — it actually grew its audience in the move from Sunday. He.ll On Wheels‘ current season is delivering an average of 3.4 million viewers in Live+3 to date. That is up a fraction from the Season 3 viewership of 3.3 million and way up the averages for AMC’s freshman dramas Turn (2 million) and Halt and Catch Fire (1.3 million), both of which were renewed for a second season. Both are owned by AMC, He.ll On Wheels is not.

Through the first 10 episode of Season 4, He.ll On Wheels is averaging 3.4 million total viewers, 1.3 adults 25-54 and 965,ooo adults 18-49 in Live+3, posting big increases vs. Live+Same day (+59%, +86% and +98%, respectively).

In its fourth season, He.ll On Wheels has become a top-20 ad-supported cable drama, and the show’s social media community has spiked. Also, He.ll On Wheels for the first time this season appeared in multiple weeks on the list of top 20 Xfinity On Demand shows.

AMC is doing a Season 4 marathon today starting at 11 AM EST leading up to a new episode at 9. I don't know why they took such a long break in the middle of the season. I didn't really like season 3 and I missed several episodes this season. I'm hoping the quality improves for the rest of this season going into season 5. They seem to have lost focus.

Love this show, but writing not as good this season. How do you find stories like this to read on Facebook,? I can sign in, but never use Facebook because I don,t want to give or know someone else,s personal life or gossip, but wouldn't mind about what you heard or read on there. Seems that is the only way to find information today. Too bad, so sad.

I really, really love this show. I am glad it will get to go 5 seasons. Looking forward to a new eppy tonight.

It dragged a bit in the first half of this season for me too, and I hated what they did to Elam but still, I LOVE me some Mr. Bohannan, so I will be watching.
